Job Opportunity: Anti-Trafficking Project Manager


Africans Unite against Child Abuse (AFRUCA) is recruiting for an Anti-Trafficking Project Manager. AFRUCA is a national charity promoting the rights and welfare of African children in the UK.

Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 (depending on experience) plus 6% pension contribution. This is a full time position
Location: AFRUCA Head Office, London
Contract Type: One year initial contract
Closing Date: 5pm 9th November 2015
Interview Date: Week beginning Monday 15th November 2015

The post holder will manage AFRUCA’s range of anti-trafficking services for young people and be the main point of contact for external agencies working with AFRUCA on anti-trafficking matters.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years project management experience with strong staff management and supervision skills. They must have a strong knowledge of child trafficking and exploitation issues in England and some understanding of current UK, EU and international trafficking legislation, protocols and guidelines.

They must have very good specialist knowledge and understanding of African cultural practices that impact on children. This post will involve some travel between AFRUCA’s two offices in London and Manchester. Ability to speak at least one African language is an advantage.

The postholder must undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check to confirm their suitability working with children.
